The 2015 curriculum of the Sarjana (B.A.) Program in English Language Teaching (ELT) has been reconstructed from the 2012 curriculum, which is based on the Kerangka Kualifikasi Nasional Indonesia (Indonesia National Qualification Framework) of 2012 and the Rencana Strategis/RENSTRA (Strategic Plan) of the Program for 2015-2019. This curriculum comprises (1) Accreditation Status, (2) the Vision, Missions, and Objectives of the program, (3) Graduate Profile, (4) Target Competencies, (5) the Structure of the Curriculum, including course classification and distribution, and (6) Course Descriptions that detail the content of each course.

Accreditation Status
Based on the Decree of the National Accreditation Council, No. 139/BAN-PT/Akred/S/IV/2015, the Sarjana (B.A.) Degree Program in English Language Teaching has been accredited A (effective until April 2020).

Vision
It is the vision of the Sarjana (B.A.) Program in ELT that it becomes a center of excellence providing outstanding ICT-based higher education that is responsive to global advancements in the fields of education and ELT.

Missions
In line with the aforementioned vision and the threefold missions of higher education (Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi), the Sarjana (B.A.) Program in ELT has the following goals in the areas of education, research, community services and inter-institution partnership.
1. Provide effective student-centered and ICT-based higher education in the field of ELT;
2. Promote research in the field of ELT for the development of knowledge and the welfare of the community;
3. Conduct community services in the field of ELT toward the empowerment of the community;
4. Establish reputable management, accountability, and image nationally and internationally.

Objectives
The vision and missions of the Sarjana (B.A.) Program in ELT are detailed in the following objectives.
1. Produce intelligent, virtuous, and independent professionals in the field of ELT;
2. Produce outstanding scientific and creative works in the field of ELT;
3. Facilitate community services in the field of ELT to promote an independent, productive, and prosperous community;
4. Ensure the effective, efficient, and accountable implementation of education, research, and community services.

Graduate Profile
In reference to the national competence framework 2012, the graduates of the Sarjana (B.A.) Program in ELT are competent English teachers for formal and non-formal educational institutions at primary and secondary levels. They have an English proficiency equal to ITP TOEFL score of 525 / CBT TOEFL 196 / iBT TOEFL 69-70 / IELTS equivalent 5.5.

Target Competencies
By the end of their study, the graduates of a Sarjana (B.A.) Degree Program in English Language Teaching have the following competencies:

1. Main Competencies
a. An English proficiency equal to ITP TOEFL score of 525 / CBT TOEFL 196 / iBT TOEFL 69-70 / IELTS equivalent 5.5
b. The knowledge of the basic concepts of linguistics, including linguistic structures, language use, language as social phenomenon, and language universals
c. The knowledge of the basic concepts of literary genres in the light of conventional and modern perspectives and its application in the analyses of prose, poetry, and drama
d. A positive understanding of cross cultural differences, leading towards cultural tolerance and adaptation
e. A working knowledge of ELT, including the curriculum, syllabus, characteristics of language learners, lesson planning, material selection and adaptation, teaching models, assessment, and learning resources for the primary and secondary levels
f. An ability to carry out lesson plans and adapt them to a given class situation
g. An ability to manage classes effectively based on the principles of behaviour modification
h. An ability to identify problems in ELT and provide solutions through research
i. The ability to adapt current developments in ELT to any situation, condition, and need

2. Supporting Competencies
a. The ability to apply Information and Communication Technology in ELT
b. The ability to learn independently and continuously to develop knowledge and skills in ELT
c. The ability to adapt to varied teaching environments
d. The ability to express ideas spontaneously and systematically in formal or informal forums
e. The ability to work in a team

The ability to translate/interpret English texts into Indonesian and/or vice versa
